A “Manga” is a mere comic book and the term “Anime” is the encoded version of “animation”. I’ve always been knowing that, thought I’d share it with all of you good folks of the site. Anywho, how about the lesson? Here I give you a few short preview thumbnails on what the lessons look like (from a birds eye view):
Tip 1. Always plan the emotion you want your chibi character to be set with. In these cases, there are several emotions that you can get some ideas from. My little tip to you is to start off by drawing the basic shapes of the type of chibi head you want.
Tip 2. Begin defining the facial expression you desire. A few chibi expressions are a little difficult to achieve because of them seeming so similar to other expressions. For instance, a super happy emotion may also seem like a crying emotion.
So there you have a few images and tips that show you a little preview on what you’ll be learning to draw. Take it from the pros, they surely know what they’re talking about, especially Mark Crilley. Be sure to check out sir Mark’s books out like Miki Falls and the new manga series Brody’s Ghost. Really good stuff folks!
