Hi guys, this is the admin here and I’m going to be submitting another lesson! Here I will explain to you in detail on how to draw chibi expressions step by step. I think showing you this would be an awesome tutorial because of the different types of chibi expressions there are. How many of you practice drawing expressions? I practice lots of facial expressions when I’m doodling on paper. Sometimes I always find it exciting when I discover a new expression or emotion. There are limitless ways to draw these expressions that it’s mind blowing. Examine your friends or normal everyday people for emotions. Watch animes that’s full of emotion and observe the way they make faces. When you have a set emotion in your head, think of the style you want to draw it in. Naruto has a very different style compared to Bleach. Just remember to keep that in mind. So here we go now. Are you ready for the lesson? Let’s get started!
Step 1. Draw 6 circles for the 6 types of emotions we will be drawing in this tutorial. If you want to draw just one chibi expression, then draw only one of the circles with the desired expression. Don’t forget to add the guidelines so you’ll be able to draw the emotion right.
Step 2. Lightly sketch out the beginning spurs of the eyes, hair, and mouths. It’s always important to sketch out the face first, then the shape of the face. It all depends on your pace and way of learning.
Step 3. Next, we can finally draw the face shape of the chibi expression. This should be very easy to accomplish. All you have to do is stay close the guidelines and make sure the guidelines match up with the picture.
