How to Draw Chibi

A popular star in our culture has risen last year and bloomed to become another Madonna. Her name is Lady Gaga and I thought I’d draw a chibi version of her. This star is known for her hip beats and strange music videos/clothing styles. She is often seen wearing the most strangest fashion on stage and in music videos. If you watch “Bad Romance” on YouTube, you’ll see a lot of strange things going on, especially the dances. I had a lot of fun drawing the chibi as well as drawing the expression and pose. Step 1. You always have to start off with the basics. Drawing this chibi’s basic body frame will make drawing much easier. When you draw a wire frame pose, you’ll find that it’s an ideal way to draw poses. I always start off drawing a character’s pose by quickly sketching out a wire frame pose.

Step 2. Draw the basics of her face. This is a great way to get the key features of her face all drawn right. If you come to face troubles, sketch guidelines for the face. It’s also a great way to proportion the face as well.

Step 3. Start sketching more detailing of her face. By doing this, your exercising your drawing speed and skill. When you come to draw the eyes, start with the top lid and then the bottom. Make sure you keep a steady pace while you draw this. Don’t forget to add in the details for her mouth and hair.
