How to Draw Chibi Rapunzel

September 19, 2011 in Chibis

Welcome to another lesson as an update here for Drawchibi.com! I have a few to submit here lately as there’s just so many chibis that must be born onto this site. I recently saw the movie smash hit ‘Tangled’ in theaters this weekend and thought maybe I scrounge up a tutorial on “how to draw chibi Rapunzel from Tangled“, step by step. This lesson has to be the cutest character I’ve seen on the site so far. There are just so many lessons on the website Dragoart for cool characters in chibitized renders. There’s even movie stars turned into chibis you can get from the site. This lesson might be a little tough because of the long hair. I can see why the artist didn’t make the hair so long as it should since the difficulty of the image would be immense. Anyways, enjoy this tutorial and spread the word to your friends! Thanks so much for viewing and have fun!

Step 1. Start off with the most basic of guidelines before you rush into the body frame and other details. The red lines are the ones you must draw first and the blue ones are the ones that were drawn previously. Use a ruler and an eraser for the future details in case for mistakes.

Step 2. Then, let’s work on the facial structure and the beginning feature of the face so you’ll get a general idea on where to place the other facial features. Once drawn, work on the arms so you’ll have an easier experience drawing the clothes.

Step 3. Next, let’s move onto the dress and the beginning sprout of the hair. This should be easy for you since there really isn’t much to draw. Take your time and avoid from rushing.
